A Financial banking institution which provides banking services for customers in 50 countries handling personal, business, corporate, and investment banking was replacing a customer service portal and needed to ensure complete compatibility with existing applications. The new application handles:
- Customer enrollment for banking services and account management.
- Wealth planning, trust, and fiduciary services.
- Business banking: specialist advice, products and services for medium size businesses.
- Investment banking: provides financial advisory, capital raising, financing and risk management to corporation, governments and financial institutions globally.
Sharp Decisions' Solution
The Sharp Decisions V.E.T.S. QA Analyst worked closely with the Team Leads, Project Manager, and the Developers to develop test cases and test data to validate the new application. This collaboration was a key factor in the project’s success due to the lack of detailed requirements or test case definitions. He was also involved in the development of the UAT test cases, as well as collaborating with the Team Leads and Developers to create test case scenarios. The Sharp Decisions V.E.T.S. QA Analyst was the sole QA Tester on the project and was given full responsibility for validating the application. The QA Analyst was able to complete the project nearly one week ahead of schedule.
The client was able to seamlessly replace the existing application with the new one while meeting their project goals sooner than projected. The Sharp Decisions V.E.T.S. QA Analyst played a significant part in the successful deployment of the application by effectively validating compatibility of the new application to the client’s existing systems.
